As usual at this time of year, SpikeTV has released the nominees for its upcoming yearly game awards show. Many of you have probably figured this out already, but Uncharted 2 has made a strong showing this year and has been nominated as one of the five choices for Game of the Year. We’ve included a breakdown of the larger categories below.
Game of the Year: Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Studio of the Year: Naughty Dog, Rocksteady Studios, Infinity Ward, and Valve.
Best PS3 Game: inFamous, Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank, and Killzone 2.

Yes, MW2 is great, there’s no doubt. For Game of the Year though, innovation and change is what takes presedence.
Uncharted 2 gets my vote for raising the bar. Quality of gameplay and the overall detail is astonishing.

PS3 GOTY is a tuffy….I loved Killzone 2 Single Player! Loved Uncharted 2 and I’m currently playing InFamous and love that too! I hate the R&C games so they don’t count. lol

Left 4 Dead as game of the year, is that a joke? The game is only good if played online, and it should of been an expansion of part 1.

i honestly think MW2 is sooo overated. its just another call of duty game. if Uncharted 2 doesnt win im gonna be pissed. AND in my opinion InFamous was kinda gay
