Over the last two years many PlayStation 3 owners have been biding their time awaiting for Square Enix to finally announce Kingdom Hearts III for their console of choice. Unfortunately for those fans, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen any time soon according to Tetsuya Nomura.
Speaking in the latest issue of Famitsu Magazine, Nomura has revealed that Kingdom Hearts III will not be the next chapter released in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Furthermore, Nomura announced that the main character in the upcoming installment will not be Sora, despite his leading role up to this point.
One thing fans of the franchise should be happy to hear is that Nomura plans to release a new Kingdom Hearts title every year. As to when you can expect KHIII to finally hit shelves? Well, Nomura is keeping tight-lipped on that one.

Don’t worry guys. KHIII is coming. Nomura’s done an excellent job so far so you have nothing to worry about
I really hope he ends it at III though. I want the franchise to die as a legend.

Yes bring on the Kingdom Hearts games for the PS3/PSP and I’ll keep buying.
Well at least this gives me time to catch up on the Kingdom Hearts stories some more to refresh my mind before Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out on PS3 soon.

damn, i just hope they dont overdo the game…..i want them to end it with KH3 or perhaps 1 game after KH3 :\

i hope they make a game (for the PS3) about the Keyblade Wars!!!
that would be awesome….like at the end of Zone of the Enders 2 when you joined in that massive battle??? do that, but with beautiful graphics, more hectic, and with KH stuff!!

I hope the new Kingdom Heart is good even though it isn’t going to be Kingdom Heart 3. They are releasing a new Kingdom Heart game every year, so Kingdom Hearts 3 will eventaully be released.
