Last Rebellion release date confirmed with epic battle trailer

The Last Rebellion has been given a release date of February 23rd. While most of us have this date circled for a much different reason (Heavy Rain), it looks as though TLR is going to give Heavy Rain a run for its money in pure enjoyment. As a long time RPG fan, I have always missed the simplicity of turn-style gaming as the more action oriented RPGs have moved to the forefront.

Thankfully, after checking out the latest battle trailer for Last Rebellion, it would appear as though a developer has finally brought back the excitement of turn fighting that I used to feel when playing the older Final Fantasy titles. Not to mention, the teamwork of the two leading characters (who are really one) is fantastic.

I’ve included the trailer below and some random facts as well — enjoy!

Here is some random stuff about Last Rebellion.

  • Nine and Aisha will share one body, so they will share HP and MP values as well. When you are using Nine to explore the field, MP will gradually recover, and when Aisha is on the field, HP will gradually recover. Switch between them as you need to.
  • Nippon Ichi Software was able to get some awesome guest illustrators, such as Mr. Mikimoto, who worked on Macross. These illustrations will be shown on the loading screens!
  • If you preorder Last Rebellion at RosenQueen.com you’ll receive a bonus double-sided poster, featuring some of the guest illustrators’ artwork! This is a pretty sweet deal, so I hope you are interested in it!
  • Last Rebellion will be released on February 23! That’s just around the corner, so until then, learn more about it on the Official Last Rebellion Website!

This looks better than NIER?…..lets be honest. The graphics in this game look outdated, and nothing abut this turn based combat system looks epic, or that much different from every other turn based jrpg out there. Hopefully you fools wont hype this game(@arc-1300, saying this game is on the same level as heavy rain…..and awesome possem….saying this game looks better than NIER). It does not deserve it.

The Last Rebellion games look like a good RPG. Hopefully this game will be good whenever I get a chance to try the game out.
