With the Tokyo Game Show right around the corner, it's going to be hard for Sony to outperform and out deliver the success they achieved at E3 2010 and Gamescom this year. Considering the company revealed its ability to start a strong relationship with Electronic Arts and bring Portal 2 over to PlayStation 3 at E3, it did even more by capturing Mass Effect 2 at Gamescom as well. As expected, mo... more.

  • Valkyria Chronicles 3 Teaser Site 1 CommentsPosted by David Wales on September 1, 2010 under PS3 News, PlayStation 3
Many websites are going to report on this teaser site today, but instead of just speculating that it's for Valkyria Chronicles 3, we're just going to tell you it is. What if we're wrong? We're not. The silhouettes give the game away unlike any other and as the biggest Valkyria fan in the world, they're unmistakable. • Brink’s Endless Horizon 5 CommentsPosted by David Wales on August 31, 2010 under PS3 News, PlayStation 3
Am I the only one balls out excited for Brink? The developers released yet another video diary today entitled "Endless Horizon" and I have to say, I'm even more stoked than before. The decision to change the game from a photo-realistic title like so many before it, and instead, mix it a little bit of toon to it all has made the game ridiculously good looking (like Zoolander). You definitely need t... more.
  • Hirai believes PS3 can outsell PS2 11 CommentsPosted by David Wales on August 26, 2010 under PS3 News, PlayStation 3
There comes a time when confidence about your product can turn into delusion and false hope. That seems to be the case in Kaz Hirai's latest comments about the PlayStation 3 platform. While most people who follow along with video game sales can see that the PlayStation 3 will be lucky to hit 100 million sales, Kaz Hirai believes the console can not only hit that goal with ease, but that it can out... more.

Despite being severely late to the party in terms of zombie shooters, Sony has been hard at work in promoting and marketing Dead Nation to the public. Last week, they released two more trailers for the game that shows exactly how you can survive the zombie blitz as well as what to expect from the title. Unfortunately for the developers of Dead Nation, they're releasing the title after the relea... more.
  • Don’t expect higher prices for 3D games 2 CommentsPosted by David Wales on August 23, 2010 under PS3 News, PlayStation 3
Back in July, Electronic Arts made a statement that the company was thinking about charging a premium price tag for video games that supported 3D play. After all, the addition of said feature would increase the development budget. Thankfully, Sony doesn't share those same views and doesn't see any reason to raise the prices of 3D-enabled in-house titles. SCEE's Andrew house, in fact, admits tha... more.

You could call it blasphemy if you want, but games have been selling for a long time that allow you to play God in the gaming world. Whether it's through a copy of SimCity, The Sims or the old school Black & White franchises, playing God has always been an entertaining experience. Last week, one of the oddest announcements for a game took place when BioShock Infinite was revealed for the PlayStation 3. Not only was it done as a huge announcement, but apparently everyone in the industry already knew about it. We're not sure if this method was fully thought out or not, but it was definitely one of the oddest announcements to date. Regardless, Irrational Gamers is looking t... more.
