First screenshots of Ico HD on PS3?
16 CommentsPosted by Patrick Steen on September 2, 2010 under PlayStation 3
Are these the first screenshots of Ico HD? Or what we expect to be the 'Team Ico Collection'? We were hoping to see Team Ico's first PlayStation 3 game, The Last Guardian, at the Tokyo Games Show but it's not on Sony's list. We hope they're just bluffing, because Fumito Ueda was showing the game off just a day ago. He was showing it off to developer's at CEDEC, Japan's developer's conference -... more. -
Kevin Butler delivers a new movetage

Kevin Butler is a man who stands for two things and those are gaming and montages. He rarely supports one without the other and his latest commercial is no different. With roughly a minute of pure PlayStation Move awesomeness, Butler displays exactly how Sony is going to target a different audience of gamers outside of kids with motion control. Is this a dig at Nintendo and its often labeled "kidd... more. -

With the Tokyo Game Show right around the corner, it's going to be hard for Sony to outperform and out deliver the success they achieved at E3 2010 and Gamescom this year. Considering the company revealed its ability to start a strong relationship with Electronic Arts and bring Portal 2 over to PlayStation 3 at E3, it did even more by capturing Mass Effect 2 at Gamescom as well. As expected, mo... more. -

Lately, a lot of Japanese developers are trying to step their game up by moving away from the standard forms of Japanese development and instead add in a Western flavor in order to appeal to more gamers. The latest developer to come out and express interest to add a more Western touch to their title is Keiji Inafune, the man behind the upcoming Devil May Cry 5 title. Despite Capcom not having a... more. -

There is a good chance every website you visit today is going to milk the hell out of Call of Duty: Black Ops and the multiplayer reveal event last night -- we're not going to do that. Instead of spreading things across 5+ articles, we're going to give you everything you basically need to know just in this one piece. Not only will this make your experience a better one, but it won't result in your... more. -
Activision thinks it can outsell Modern Warfare 2
5 CommentsPosted by David Wales on September 2, 2010 under PlayStation 3
It probably sounds pretty crazy that Activision believes it can outsell Modern Warfare 2 with its upcoming Call of Duty title, Black Ops, but that's exactly the claim the publisher has made last night in Los Angeles during the Black Ops multiplayer reveal. How does Activision plan on achieving this goal? That's simple -- they plan on hitting you with so many advertisements that all you can think a... more. -

Rocksteady released a heavy set of screenshots today for its upcoming sequel, Batman: Arkham City. The screenshots show off characters such as Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Two Face. As expected, these shots are 100% incredible and the detail in each is something to truly enjoy. I've included one below, but you can check out the entire gallery here. ... more. -
Valve has “3 big surprises” down the pipeline

In the latest issue of PC Gamer UK, Valve boss Gabe Newell has promised at least three big surprises over the next coming 12 months. Of course, in teaser-site fashion, Newell didn't release any information other than that, so your guesses will be as good as ours. However, considering the hype and ridiculously long overdue announcement for Half Life 2: Episode 3, one of those three announcements... more. -

Apparently at Gamescom, Yoshinori Kitase the producer behind the upcoming title, The 3rd Birthday for PlayStation Portable, revealed that depending on the success of the title, the team would like to create a followup on PlayStation 3. Despite my recent buildup of skepticism towards Square Enix and what they've been able to achieve during this generation of consoles, I believe that my anticipation... more. -

I'm not too sure how I feel about this, but the Official PlayStation Magazine in Europe is running a story in this month's issue that confirms the addition of multiplayer in the upcoming Batman title. Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to the surprisingly hit original, Batman: Arkham Asylum, which released last year. Developed by Rocksteady, Arkham City is scheduled to contain a myriad of Batman... more. -

Many websites are going to report on this teaser site today, but instead of just speculating that it's for Valkyria Chronicles 3, we're just going to tell you it is. What if we're wrong? We're not. The silhouettes give the game away unlike any other and as the biggest Valkyria fan in the world, they're unmistakable. This week's European update unfortunately doesn't include Castle Crashers, but that's no reason to get upset. However, on the other hand, Valkyria Chronicles II did launch in Europe today, so that's a huge positive. Not to mention TellTale Games released its fifth installment into the Sam & Max episodic series. Other than that, not much else to get excited about. Check it all out below. Tr... more.
