The Official PlayStation Blog has released a Gran Turismo 5 trailer featuring one of the newest features of the game - Night Racing. First, let me just say that this portion of the game looks absolutely bonkers and fantastic. The lighting is incredible and driving at night is one of my favorite things to do in real life and it looks like in the video game as well. We won't keep you from the bea... more. -

Yesterday the NPD numbers were released for February 2010 and it was revealed that PlayStation 3 had sold 360,000 units for the month. While this tally isn't anywhere near a bad amount, it goes without saying that Sony is capable of pushing a lot more units than this after the recent success this past Holiday season. One of the reasonings behind the slightly lower number than expected is the co... more. -

In an interview with UGDB, Stig Asmussen, Game Director of God of War III, discussed many topics surrounding the final addition to the God of War Trilogy. One of the statements that made the most impact on us was how Stig clarified that God of War III is only utilizing 50% of the PlayStation 3's potential power. Now, this was odd to us mainly because of how well the game plays and how crazy good i... more. -
Kojima tweets about MGS: Peace Walker

Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise, has been hard at work bringing his franchise to that next level on the PlayStation Portable. Despite the announcement that Metal Gear Solid: Rising was coming to multiple platforms, Kojima made it known that it wasn't really "his" title and that his main focus would be on Peace Walker. These claims are made even more evident in... more. -
February NPD numbers aren’t too shabby

Today the February 2010 NPD numbers were released and the end result was very successful for all three major platforms. While the Xbox 360 achieved something it hadn't in years - toppling the Wii in sales - all three companies had a strong showing in general. Of course, with the confirmed shortages of both PlayStation 3s and Nintendo Wii's in North America, it's not too hard to imagine why this... more. -

According to a recent discussion with Joystiq.com, Naughty Dog's very own, Evan Wells, touched on the subject of bringing Nathan Drake to the pocket handheld PlayStation Portable. Due to the recent slew of Game of the Year awards, this may be a great addition to a handheld platform library that many have criticized as poor. "I think it would be fantastic to see the game (move) onto a handheld sys... more. -

The team over at Naughty Dog is going to have to build a small room in their new studio in order to house all of the awards that this year has brought. Not only have they cashed in every Game of the Year award known to man, but they've also taken home several other awards for Uncharted 2 as well. Tonight, that tradition of excellence continued at the GDCA ceremony when it was announced that Unc... more.

North American PSN Update: 3/11/10

The North American update is pretty beefy and carries a lot of content for everyone. While users who have been waiting for DLC for MAG, BioShock 2, GRID, and a few other titles can finally latch out, guys waiting for new titles like Mega Man 10 can get their fix that way. The PSP finally releases Rock Band Lite on its end as well. Over all, it's not too shabby at all, but there is always slight ro... more. -

PlayStation's motion controller is reportedly moving its title from Arc to Move, in a trademark switch-a-roo. Sony has registered PlayStation Move in Europe, which could potentially be the final name of the PlayStation 3's imminent motion control solution. In our previous articles on the technology we've used its in-development name PlayStation Arc, which was also registered in Japan not that l... more. -

[Editor's Note: This editorial is going to consist of complete ranting and how some companies need to seriously step back a couple of feet and do things right.] Every year I anticipate four video game releases more so than any others. These four games are your typical yearly sports releases, but that's just what kind of core gamer that I am. I always have my calendar marked down for MLB: The Sh... more.
